Welcome – Lite North Education is the North of England hub of the parent Literegal Education. Literegal has been teaching courses to students since 1993, running established Easter & Summer Schools in London and Cambridge Universities, together with an all-year-round school Lite International College running Medical, Legal and Business Internships, based in central London.

Litenorth is establishing itself in the North with a new location for a Summer School in Leeds, and offering both Medical and Legal Internships in Leeds City Centre.

How did this begin. As a teacher of both primary and secondary in London I was fortunate to spend my summers with Literegal in the colleges of Cambridge and Universities of London as the Director of Studies. I organised a lot of great courses, worked with great tutors and met students from all over the world, who came to teach, study, and enjoy the summer in such prestigious surroundings. I decided this year to return to God’s Country – Yorkshire and together with Literegal create a North of England hub aptly named Litenorth.I am pleased to announce that our Summer School 2025 is in the cosmopolitan, cultural capital of Leeds.A lively place of commerce and cultural interest, with 4 Universities, attracting many tourists and students from all over the world.

It’s not far from both the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park and the beautiful Yorkshire coastline. The larger  of Leeds is accessible for days out to places of interest and of course shopping. It’s an easy to get to location being served by Manchester and Leeds/Bradford Airports together with direct train links 2.5hrs from London.

The ‘Lite Way’ always puts the student at the centre of all what we do. We provide the best academic and social programme, with top University tutors, to build confidence and participation, to let students grow individually and as a group, to question and develop in a fun, social, safe, and caring environment.

We welcome both Juniors and Uppers to  this summer. Our junior summer camp model is very successful with young students coming together from all over the world to form new friendships and learn new cultures. Joining in class to study a combined programme of the Sciences and Arts with English Language at the heart of all lessons. Interesting, interactive topic-based lessons where the student is at the centre of all learning, run by academic, practical, caring and nurturing top University tutors. The school  provides junior students with a taste of English school boarding life, together with their new friends and tutors they experience the state-of-the-art classrooms, accommodation and dining, superb sports, and leisure facilities. It raises their expectations and revitalises their interest in learning for the return to school after a lovely summer experience.

The Upper Summer School gives students a choice from Intensive English, STEM or ARTS. Working with University tutors to deepen their subject knowledge and fine tune their academic skills. It provides a good preparation in forming choices or extending subject knowledge for University whether it be several years ahead or even closer. Dedicated accommodation with great common rooms suitable for secondary students.

It’s not all study don’t forget it’s the holiday. Afternoons are spent using the marvellous sports facilities with swimming, tennis, football, and dance in dedicated studios or delving into the arts with drama and painting workshops. The full residential experience means that the activity doesn’t stop after dinner. Every night of the week our social team run a programme of activities, with the popular Disco Fridays to let off steam. Let’s not forget the games and movie nights.

Once a week we get away for the whole day from the college and explore the best of what Yorkshire has to offer with trips chosen from;  York, Harrogate Spa Town, the coastal locations of Whitby and Scarborough to name a few. The school provides a safe, welcome in the healthy Yorkshire.
